31 October 2007 at 3:20PM. Just an update on this, I have just dyed one of my sofas covers and they have turned out great. Makes it look like a new sofa, that and new cushion inserts. Total cost for two three seater sofas dye £60, new inserts ,£140. £200 quid and they really do look brand new. Recommend this to anyone. Like these Sewing Projects !!! Suitable for Nylon, Cotton, Poly-Cotton, Linen, Wool, Silk, Rayon, Acetate, Orlon, Terelene, Dacron, Courtelle How much fabric can I dye with one pack of DYLON Machine Dye? One pack will dye up to 600g of fabric to the full shade (up to 1.8kg of fabric to lighter shades). Use multiple packs to dye larger amounts of fabric (e.g., 2 packs will dye 1.2 kg of fabric to the full shade). Always use the whole pack(s) in one go. You can use up to 5 packs in one Retayne allows you to machine-wash your all-purpose-dyed garments with your regular laundry, without fear of ruining your other clothes, and it makes the dye last in the fabric for a much longer time.
