I've been having trouble with LOTR Battle for Middle Earth (the original for the PC). I completely reformated my hardirve and then reinstalled all the graphics cards etc. When I came Used this link to get all the files: Go to %appdata% find My Battle for middle earth ROTWK files somewhere there. Click on that folder. In that folder should be an options file. In there you can enter the display size of your screen. Save the options file. You shoud be good to go. Just the launcher doesn't think it's there. I dont know if this will work or not but try it if you want. Then when your done,Click on the .exe or setup file and select mount this in Drive (whatever it names it) and then try again.
